Worship

What do you get when you combine Pastors from the cultures of India, Korea and Puerto Rico?

You find a Church serving all Nations.

How awesome to join in worship with a praise team whose heritage stems from Korea, America, Cuba and Puerto Rico. Throw in voices from Thailand throughout Latin America all raised to sing "When the Roll is Called up Yonder", in Spanish, with gusto, fervor and praise to God.

Have you ever paused to consider just what God hears as the Church, the Body of Christ, around the world pours out its prayers, praise and worship?

It somehow draws a new understanding of Charles Wesley's hymn "O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing" when you think of our brothers and sisters in Christ all around the world all raising their voices to their Creator and Lord in their native tongues. Can you imagine the point where your prayers of petition, praise and thanksgiving intersect with those from all the saints?

What and awesome God we serve.

Resolute.

Hey there everyone,

Who knew that I would actually move into the electronic age and start a blog.

God is working on me in so many wonderful, and sometimes very humbling, ways during my time here at Asbury Theological Seminary. One is in taking a good look at my own spiritual discipline and walk with God. I have become increasingly aware that I can spend all week learning about God without ever really spending much time with God or being perceptive to the Holy Spirit. Isn't that how life is....it's easy for the cares of the world to ease their way in and push out time spent with the one who cares so much for each of us.

Call it a New Year's resolution or a new Spiritual Discipline Resolution, but I hope that you will walk with me as I resolve to be more intentional in earnestly seeking to walk with God through Jesus Christ in prayer, worship, and Bible study in addition to my Seminary studies in the coming year and to share my experiences with you right here in cyberspace.

Blessings to you all in the new year.
